Description:
Sealed Bids for the asbestos abatement, demolition and disposal of 24
regulated structures within North Charleston, SC will be received by the City
of North Charleston until 11:00 a.m., local time, January 31, 2019, at North
Charleston City Hall, 2500 City Hall Lane, 3rd Floor Rhett
Conference Room, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406 at which time and place
all Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids sent by regular mail should be addressed to: City of North Charleston, Purchasing
Director, P.O. Box 190016, North Charleston, SC
29419-9016.
Bids hand delivered or sent by courier service should be addressed
to: City of North Charleston, Purchasing
Director, 2500 City Hall Lane, North Charleston, SC 29406.
A mandatory pre-bid conference
will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at North Charleston City
Hall, 2rd Floor Montague Conference Room, 2500 City Hall Lane, SC.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond duly executed by the Bidder
as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company qualified to do
business under the laws of the State of South Carolina and satisfactory to the
Owner in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total offer
as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be
executed and that a 100% Performance and Payment Bond and insurance
certificates will be furnished. Checks,
regardless of form, will not be accepted in lieu of a Bid Bond.

This Contract is federally assisted.
The Contractor must comply with the Anti‑Kickback Act, the Contract Work
Hours and Safety Standards Act, Title VI or The Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title
1 of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Executive Orders 11246 and 11375.
