Description: The City of Laurinburg is requesting Statements of Qualifications from qualified and interested firms to provide design services for the Restoration of 127 Main Street Project. This project will be funded with a combination of local, state, and federal funds. The City of Laurinburg intends to select a qualified consultant to provide design services based on the project details and evaluation criteria listed in the detailed Request for Qualifications (RFQ).

Copies of the detailed RFQ, including a description of the services to be provided by respondents, the minimum content of responses, and the factors to be used to evaluate the responses, can be obtained by a downloadable link on the City of Laurinburg website at https://www.laurinburg.org/business/#purchasing-rfps. Proposers must complete the vendor registration process to login and obtain copies of the RFQ documents.

The proposals should be submitted no later than Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. EDT by mail to the City of Laurinburg, Attn: Harold W. Haywood, 303 W. Question: Hi.. We are wondering the following: Will there be a pre-proposal meeting/tour available of space? Is there a proposed budget? Are there photos available of existing conditions? Will there be proposed additions to current square footage/space? What is desired use for space in the future? Thanks so much.

Response: There is not a planned pre-proposal meeting for this RFQ. If you would like to schedule a time to come look at the building individually, please contact Walker McCoy at lmccoy@laurinburg.org. There is not a proposed budget at this time. Photos of the existing conditions of the building can be obtained by contacting Walker McCoy at lmccoy@laurinburg.org to schedule a time to do so. There are no proposed additions to the current square footage. The plan is for the first floor to be a brewery/restaurant and the second floor an event space.

Question: Is the team seeking submittals that are purely architectural, or should proposals include a full design team including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, landscape design, civil engineering, interior design, or others?

Response: The proposal should include a full design that will be ready to go out to bid for construction.
