Question: Renovations at EMS/ North Charleston Fire Station 8 Building Infinger Construction Group 7/23/19 Questions 1. Baseboards are not mentioned in the scope of work. Can you specify whether baseboards are in the scope of work and if so what type of material? 2. Are we to do anything with damaged ceiling grid and/or ceiling tile? 3. It appears the drinking fountain was incorrectly reinstalled when a repair was made. Are we supposed to include patching and repair of the drywall/blocking correctly in this location? 4. Moving of the ‘Cascade’ machine was mentioned at the pre-bid. Where is this detail in the scope of work? Who should we contact about moving the ‘Cascade’ machine? Shouldn’t the manufactures representative move it and we just supply new power? 5. Listed in the scope, lighting for the apparatus bay is listed as ‘LED flat panel 1’ x 4’ Lights’. More information as per quantity and style. Existing bay had 36 – 8’ fluorescents. 6. Door frames are not mentioned in the scope of work. Are they to be included in the painting? 7. Ice machine drain will be improbable unless there is a sewer line on that side of the building. Ice machine drains are gravity style, not a pumped discharge.

Question: IFB states Business License and permit shall be obtained and provide a copy before a contract is issued. To clarify this license and permit shall be obtained by Dorchester County not the City of North Charleston.
Response: Correct. The building is located outside the North Charleston city limits.

Question: Did you find any type of drawings or the square footage on the building? Is there a spec for the lighting or the oxygen machine they requested to move?
