Description: The City of Woodstock, Georgia, herein referred to as the City, is accepting proposals from qualified contractors for the purpose of constructing the Little River Park located at 3193 Trickum Road, 3195 Trickum Road and 25 Celandine Road Woodstock, GA 30188, herein referred to as the project. This project is comprised of two (2) phases. Phase one (1) includes the new construction of a multi-use trailway along the Linear Corridor and renovations to the existing Woodlands Park. This phase of work includes the installation of a multi-use trailway, wooden boardwalks, boardwalk bridges, prefabricated pedestrian bridges, site furnishings, a pre-engineered restroom structure, pre-engineered pavilions, a dog park and supporting infrastructure improvements. Additionally, this phase includes the renovation of an existing parking area and open space fields. Phase two (2) includes the new construction of park facilities at Trickum Road. This phase of work includes the installation of a multi-use trailway, wooden boardwalks, site furnishings, pre-engineered restroom structures, pre-engineered pavilions, a prefabricated fishing platform, a prefabricated kayak launch, a playground, a nature trail and supporting infrastructure.
Phase 2 of this project is located adjacent to the Trickum Road at Nocatee Trail Roundabout Project, which is currently under construction and is estimated to be completed in 2026. Due to the on-going roadway construction, the awarded construction firm will be required to construct Phase 1 of the Little River Park first and then, upon completion of the Trickum Road at Nocatee Trail Roundabout Project, construct Phase 2 of the Little River Park.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: Please sign up if you plan to attend the pre-bid meeting. A MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE will be held at the existing Woodlands Park parking lot located at 25 Celadine Place, Woodstock, GA 30188 on Monday April 7, 2025, at 10:00 A.M; followed by a mandatory tour of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the park project sites. The duration of the mandatory park projects tour will begin at 10:30 A.M and will be complete by 1:30 P.M. Each respondent is required to have attended the mandatory pre-proposal conference and site tour of each phase of park project. A signature at the beginning and end of the mandatory pre-proposal conference and site tour will be required to document attendance. The respondent’s representative that attends the pre-proposal conference and site tour must hold a senior management or construction position within the respondent’s proposed project team. Question: Helical anchors are shown as an alternative pier option to timber piles for the elevated timber boardwalk on sheet S2.0 drawing 4 of the Little River Park Drawing Bid Set (175 of 296). Helical anchors are also mentioned several times in Bid Technical Specifications as a “preferred foundation system”. Can you clarify the preferred foundation system for the elevated timber boardwalk? Are there certain areas along the boardwalk where helicals are to be used over timber pilings and if so where would that be so that we can price accordingly.

The drawings do not show typical 10’ spans in these elevations and instead appear to be one long span.
