How many firewall policies do you expect to migrate? How many users are on the network? How many sites will the FortiGate support? 2. VPN Requirements Site-to-site VPN: Number of tunnels? Are you using standard IPsec or custom configs? Remote access VPN: SSL VPN needed? How many users need accounts or AD integration? MFA? 3. Port Forwarding / NAT How many inbound services require NAT? (Servers, cameras, PBX, RDP, etc.) Do you need custom VIPs / Virtual IP groups? 4. Authentication / Directory Services Do you need integration with: Active Directory? RADIUS? LDAP? SAML? How many security groups control access (VPN, filters, etc.)? 5. Security Services FortiGuard features add setup time: IPS? Web Filtering? Application Control? Antivirus? SSL inspection?
