was required for the project. The City
of North Charleston staff has received an answer via an email dated September
07, 2021 from Program Coordinator Rhonda Jackson of the South Carolina
Contractor’s Licensing Board - “The board considers this type of work a seawall, and if it’s over $5,000.00
it would require a General Contractor’s License with the Marine Classification.”
Please
ensure that the General Contractor or its subcontractor has a General
Contractors License with the Marine Classification. A copy of the General Contractors License
with the Marine Classification shall be submitted along with the rest of the applicable
solicitation documents.
