Question: WHEN THE WETWELLS ARE CLEANED, WHERE WILL THE CLEANING SUBCONTRACTOR HAVE TO GO TO DUMP? WILL THE CLEANING SUBCONTRACTOR BE CHARGED FOR DUMPING?

Response: They will not be charged for dumping; however, the contractor is responsible for sufficient cleaning, hauling, and dumping of materials.

Question: ARE ALL SPECIFICATIONS FOR PIPING, VALVES, FITTINGS, LINING, AND PAINT ON THE WEBSITE?

Response: The specs on-line show the paint for the wetwell vent but not the pipe. For the vent, it calls for one coat of Tnemec Polyuraprime and two coats of Tnemec Epoxyl Polyurethane Series 66 or 69 high build epoxoline at 5 mils thickness.

FRESHEN UP ROCK, ETC? 5 A BYPASS PUMPING CONNECTION WILL NEED TO BE CUT IN. Response: 90 degree bends instead of the normal 45 degree bends will be allowed due to space constraints. Any other deviations to be reviewed by DCWS for approval.

Response: The existing pumps will be re-used. For all slabs, thickness to be a minimum of 12”. On the side with the force main, it will need to extend from the hatch to the downward 45 degree bend in the force main so it would hold all of the supports. In the other 3 directions, extending 2’ from the hatch would be sufficient.

Response: PS 6: Average flow: 93,464 GPD; Pump flow: 525 gpm PS 16: Average flow: 552,834 GPD; Pump flow: 1,160 gpm PS 86: Average flow: 32,400 GPD; 34,200 GPD; 200 gpm PS 103: Average flow: 37,500 GPD; Pump flow: 90 gpm PS 105: Average flow: 115,250 GPD; Pump flow: 400 gpm PS 107: Average flow: 7,000 GPD; Pump flow 18 gpm The average flows are DHEC style “checkbook” numbers are should be high for most days but may not be high for rain days.
