Description: This specification describes Contractor requirements for hauling of household waste from the convenience centers to the Hickory Hill Sanitary Landfill, the Oakwood C&D Landfill, or yard waste processing facilities designated by the County. Beaufort County Council has established twelve (12) household waste convenience centers (hereinafter "convenience centers") within Beaufort County for collection of household waste (See Exhibit B for locations). Eleven, as listed herein, will be open as manned convenience centers, one, located on Daufuskie Island, will be open as an unmanned convenience center; however this could change to a manned center within the contract period. Please note that containers on Daufuskie Island must be loaded onto a barge for transport from the island, then transported to the appropriate landfill for disposal. Bidders shall include this barge expense in their proposal. The successful Contractor will service all centers.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: A pre-proposal conference will be held at 10:00 am in the BIV # 2 Finance Conference Room, 106 Industrial Village Road, Building# 3, Beaufort, SC 29906-4291, on March 23, 2017. All offerors are strongly encouraged to attend.
