Description:

The intent of the Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSOQ) is to obtain proposals from and the services of qualified engineering consulting firms to provide expertise in aiding the City of Germantown in the decision-making process in selecting the manner in which the City moves forward with automated meter reading services. Automated meter reading is the technology of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic, and status data from water meters and transferring that data to a central database for billing, troubleshooting, and analyzing. There are two main paths in automated meter reading technology that the City is considering: Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The City requests that an experienced consultant provide services to aid the City in making an informed decision.
