Description: The City of Battle Creek will accept sealed bids for the Post Addition Water Main and LeadService Line Replacements – DWSRF 7710-01 Contract B project. This project consists of, but is not limited to,replacing 5 miles of existing cast iron watermains with new ductile iron watermains along several City streets as well as 533 new (public side of the curb stop box) water services, 379 (private side of the curb stop box) water services, new valves, hydrants, and appurtenances. Due to limited right-of-way available along Midway Court, cured in place pipe lining is proposed for the 660 lineal feet of existing 6-inch cast iron water main. The project also involves significant improvements to the existing storm sewer system. New pressure rated storm sewer pipes and watertight drainage structures will be installed in the intersections. Additional improvements include new bituminous pavement, curb & gutter, concrete driveway and sidewalk improvements, and ADA ramps.
