Question: Ref. Sheet A-502 Detail C1; B4;. The liquid applied water barrier(07.11) appears to be applied between the roof framing and the 2 x 12 fascia. Since we are wrapping the fascia with finished metal and nothing will be exposed, can the water barrier be applied to the outside of fascia instead of between it and the wall. This allows for a proper order of operations so that multiple trades are not required to install their portion of the overhang simultaneously and creates a more complete barrier by applying the liquid barrier to the soffit face, around the bottom of the fascia blocks and halfway up the fascia, then applying membrane barrier down the roof edge, wrapping around the fascia completely and finishing its application at the soffit area of the overhang.
