clarification of the specifications and requirements of the solicitation. To

OPTIONAL. Minutes of the prebid conference will be recorded by the County
and may be incorporated into the solicitation documents through an Addendum. Interested
Bidders are, however, urged to attend.

Question: Plan Sheet Details #11A references to remove a gas valve. The other corresponding items, 11B and 11C note that gas main will be installed by others. There are line items (02550-C6-00670) for Water main work referencing 3/4 and 1" county and private utilities; however, the note #5A/5B state that water mains and service lines will be installed by others. Please confirm if we are to include the county and private utilities in our bid. Please also verify if we are to ignore sheet C051.1 regarding installation of proposed 6" & 8" water main as there is no reference to this work in the bid items.
Response: 1. Construction Note 11A and other corresponding items 11B and 11C. Notes 11B and 11C are regarding the gas main construction, which will be done by others before this project. They are not included in this contract. Please refer to Project Summary in Special Conditions regarding the gas main construction. Note 11A is an independent work. It is not a part of gas main construction. This work is included in this contract. 2. Line item 02550-C6-00670 and Construction Notes 5A and 5B. Line item 02550-06-00670 is corresponding to the Construction Note 5, Relocate Existing Water Meter. This work is included in this contract. Notes 5A and 5B are regarding the water main and fire hydrant construction which will be done by others before this project. The service lines mentioned in Note 5A are associated with water main work. They are not included in this contract. Please refer to Project Summary in Special Conditions regarding the water main construction. 3. Utility works. All utility works, including gas main, water main, Verizon MH vertical adjustment, and utility pole relocations, corresponding Construction Notes 5A, 5B, 9A, 10, 11B, and 11C will be performed by others. Plus, the 8” and 6” water main work shown on Plan Detail Sheet C041.6, as well as Watermain Plan and Profile Sheet C051.1, will be done by others before this project. They are not included in this contract.
