Addition 1

Posted: 2/16/2023

Type of Addition: Addendum 1

Overview: The following changes, additions and deletions have been provided:

The question was asked if this the chimney has a stainless steel liner. It does not. The Chimney has tar deposits in there, so please provide an option to have it cleaned.

List any subcontractors used for any portion of the work.

Other items discussed at the pre-bid:

This is a qualifications based selection in which we will consider recommendations and price to determine the best solution for the chimney. As such, there is no specification or drawing, and we are looking to you to provide recommendations and your work plan. There may be back and forth negotiations to come up with a mutually acceptable final option.

Your proposal may be submitted with phasing, and on your own quote forms, with critical repairs clearly identified and completion dates, and recommended repairs for the future. Pricing broken out into many options would be acceptable.

There is NO bid bond required.

$50,000: If your proposal is over $50,000 then the following applies

• Prevailing wages
• PLM bonds
• Section 7.0, Responsible bidder criteria

You will state completion date for critical repairs, and will be held accountable for that date; liquidated damages could apply. Completion date may be a factor in determining award.

This is an active chimney, so plan on work starting late spring and summer.

Treat the chimney as a historic site. Keep the look of the chimney similar to what it is now.

Modern mortar may be used.

This addendum must be acknowledged on the Offer and Acceptance or Offer to Contract page of your bid/proposal or your bid/proposal may be deemed non-responsive.
