Description:

JCSS seeks responsible and responsive vendors who will provide and/or install new network equipment and racks/cabinets throughout the district as well as reorganize data cabling in our admin office and PreK network closets.  Contract for equipment, equipment installation, and cabling reorganization may be awarded separately.  Equipment installation vendor will be responsible for removing old equipment and delivering it to the JCSS Technology office, installing new equipment, and replacing patch cables as needed.  Patch cables of appropriate lengths and colors should be installed when the existing cables do not meet the following criteria : 1 foot cable direct from panel to switch, Local LAN (Blue), Wireless (Green) and Camera (Red).  Reorganizing data cabling will consist of relocating and consolidating multiple patch panels, re-terminating drops into new jacks and patch panels, relabeling drops at patch panel and client side, and removing unnecessary cabling and panels.  Vendor will install new patch cables of appropriate lengths and will use the following system: Local LAN (Blue), Wireless (Green) and Camera (Red).
