Description: The Lee College District (“Lee College” or the “College”) is requesting Sealed Proposals for the Liberty Campus Cosmetology Renovation. All proposals must be uploaded to Vendor Registry by the due date and time of Thursday, October 07, 2021, at 2:00 PM. A Pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for September 22, 2021 at 2:00PM at 1715 TX-146, Liberty, Texas 77575. The deadline for questions is Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 5:00 PM. Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted only via Vendor Registry and accessed from the Lee College Purchasing webpage. Emailed or hard copy proposals will not be accepted and will be disqualified and/or returned unopened. Vendors will receive confirmation from Vendor Registry when their proposal is successfully received. Please submit four additional hard copies of proposals for scoring purposes. Additional copies must be hand delivered or mailed and received by the due date to Mr. Mike Sparkes, Purchasing Agent, c/o Lee College, Printing and Print Management Services, 511 S. Whiting Baytown, Texas 77520. Hand Deliveries Mondays-Thursdays 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Friday 8:30 – 12:00.

Response: Yes, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be issuing an addendum to correct this. The addendum will include the complete project manual to replace the first document.

Question: The existing fire alarm system does not appear to include intercom/voice. Will this project require an upgrade to intercom/voice alarm or just add to the existing system.

Question: Question: Drawing G-010 states the Occupancy Classification for the Cosmetology Building as E (Educational) which by code requires voice notification and Drawing TF-101 shows speaker / strobes. Drawing T-000 General Fire Alarm Note #16 calls for “all new fire alarm devices to connect to new fire alarm panel” and Drawing TF-101 Fire Alarm Keyed Note #1 calls for “dedicated conduits to routed from FACP in Main Building to the Cosmetology Building”. 1. Are we to add a voice capable stand-alone FACP to the Cosmetology Building or upgrade the existing FACP? 2. If the FACP in the Main Building is to be upgraded, will we need to upgrade the Main Building notification appliances?
