Description: SCOPE OF WORK: The City of Springfield is requesting sealed bids from sand suppliers for the supply and delivery of bunker sand to The Legacy Golf Course at 100 Ray Floyd Drive, Springfield, TN 37172. The sand will be utilized in the renovation of approximately 11,000 square feet of bunkers using the Better Billy Bunker method of construction. SUBMITTALS: Contractor shall provide the following materials in the sealed bid submittal: A. Cost submittal based on a per ton price for the proposed sand including freight to The Legacy. B. Lab test results for the proposed sand from an A2LA certified lab with the following information: 1. Color 2. Composition 3. Particle Size Analysis 4. Predicted Moisture Content 5. Particle Shape 6. Infiltration Rate 7. Angle of Repose 8. Penetrometer Value 9. Crusting 10. Set-Up PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: A. Color: White to Pale Yellow B. Composition: Silica or Quartz C. Particle Size: > 65% in the 0.25mm to 0.5mm range D. Predicted Moisture Content: > 3.5% E. Particle Shape: Low to Medium Sphericity, Angular to Sub Angular F. Infiltration Rate: > 20 inches per hour G. Angle of Repose: > 33 degrees H. Penetrometer Value: > 2.4 in “Fluffed Dry” conditions I. Crusting: Slight to None J. Set-Up: Slight to None DELIVERY All materials are to be delivered to The Legacy in an end-dump trailer and deposited on-site as directed by the golf course superintendent.
