Description: 1. The needs of the preventative maintenance contract should include the following for examination:
• Control and landing position systems
• Signal fixtures
• Machines, drives, motors, governors, sheaves, and ropes
• Power units, pumps, valves, and mufflers
• Document all work performed on maintenance tasks and records logs provided with each elevator.
• Car and hoist way door operating devices and door protection equipment.
• Load weighers, car frames, and counterweights
• Safety mechanisms
• Lubricate equipment for smooth and efficient performance.
• Adjust elevator parts and components to maximize performance and safe operation.
• Must inform staff prior to visit of date and time for maintenance review.
• Staff must approve any extensive work completed on elevators.
