Description: Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners (the “County” or “Okaloosa County”) requests proposals for the design and implementation of a modern multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a contract for providing a modern multi-factor authentication solution to satisfy cyber insurance requirement and desire to prevent account compromises, a leading cause of successful ransomware attacks.

Many medical, public sector, and government entities made headlines after being subjected to successful ransomware attacks. These attacks were often the result of an attacker using a known/compromised employee username and password. Okaloosa County has concluded that a modern multi-factor authentication, professionally implemented, will help with our layered defenses and will greatly reduce the success of these types of attacks.
