Description: Sealed bids for FY 2025 LOCAL STREET PAVING - Bid No.: 025-006 will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the HR Conference Room at City Hall, 101 W, Main Street, until 10:00 AM CST, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location.

The bracket estimate on this project is from $1,200,000.00 to $1,350,000.00. This bracket range is shown only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project’s complexity and size. This bracket should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award the contract.

The principal items of work are approximate as follows:

8,250 Tons of Bituminous Concrete Paving, 69,000 Square Yards of Asphalt Milling, and related items.

The entire project shall be completed in seventy-five (75) calendar days.

To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the owner. A Digital Copy of the Bid documents (including specifications and proposals) are available through the City of Prattville Engineering Department by emailing paxton.reiss@prattvilleal.gov. Bidders shall be responsible for all printing of physical copies of the bid documents. No bid documents will be distributed later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids.

A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00 must accompany each of the bidder's separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to him. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived).

Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.

The City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer. The right to reject any or all proposals or bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days from the date set for receiving the bids.

All bids and proposals SHALL be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder’s license number, license expiration date, category, address and name of the project. Envelopes containing bids and proposals must be addressed as follows, and delivered to:
