Question: Wentzville School District RFP Questions: 1) In Spec 3 #2 – It states that the Athletic Trainer will cover all home sporting events and practices (indoor/outdoor) during the school calendar. . Can the district outline a more specific timeframe for these coverages? Such as Monday-Friday 2p until 630p or until events end, Saturday events and practice as needed and agreed upon with Activities Director. • Our concern would be Sunday practices or a random 530a cross country practice and would these be expected to be covered? 2) In Spec 3 #18 regarding CPR the district is requesting we provide CPR that compliant with MSHSAA requirements which is that coaches have training which can be done in person or online. The state association doesn’t require an actual certification card be provided. If the wish is that coaches, administrators, etc. have a certification card in had we must comply with our training center requirements which does significantly change the way we conduct the training and cost associated with this.
Response: The athletic events of the Wentzville School District will be covered by athletic trainers every school day at each high school, starting at 2:00 PM and ending after the conclusion of the events, or as directed by the Athletic Director. Coverage for Saturday and Sunday events and practices will be provided as needed and agreed upon with the Activities Director. MSHSAA requires the successful completion of a Sports First Aid/CPR/AED training course. A certification card will not be required.
