CITY OF QUINCY, ILLINOIS

Sealed bids for the Prairie Crossing Pavement & N. 36th Sidewalk (MR 686) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Suite 129, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The City of Quincy’s MR 689 Project consists of PCC pavement patching around the Prairie Crossing shopping center and installing sidewalk on the west side of North 36th from College Avenue to Melodie Lane, and related improvements.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.

Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract.
