Sealed bids for the North 16^th Street – Locust to Seminary Road Reconstruction – Section 20-00339-00-PV project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 10^th, 2021, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s North 16^th Street – Locust to Seminary Road Reconstruction – Section 20-00339-00-PV project includes the reconstruction of 1365 ft of North 16^th Street, 426 feet of Wells Avenue, and 136 ft of Center Avenue with new HMA and PCC pavement, PPC curb & gutter, storm sewers, water main, PCC sidewalk, and other miscellaneous construction items.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.

Prequalification through the Illinois Department of Transportation for the full amount bid will be required.
