Fire Station Design/Engineering Services

The City of Woodstock, Georgia, herein referred to as the City, is accepting proposals from qualified firms for the purpose of providing design and engineering services for the construction of a new sub fire station.

All responses to this RFP must be received by the City of Woodstock, Georgia electronically through Vendor Registry no later than 2:00 p.m. on April 16, 2019.  All bids will be evaluated by the City and the project will be awarded, if it is awarded, in May or June 2019.

Project Overview

The fire station will be 6,000 square foot and house six (6) firefighters and two (2) fire apparatus. Potential sites for the new fire station have been identified.

Design and engineering services will include but will not be limited to the following:

Program verification, Schematic design / design development, construction documents, permits and bidding, and construction administration (basic)

Building Specifications

1 to 2 stories in building height; 6 total bedrooms; Area/office and bay for police; 2 bays; Bay must fit ladder truck; Duty office – preferably looking at the bays; Storage; Work room; Classroom; Exercise room; Separate bathrooms; Bathroom in the bay; Sound system for paging; NFPA – 403, 1500, 1581, 1710.air, decon, building, etc.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the City Annex. The meeting will begin at the City Annex located at 12453 Highway 92, Woodstock, Georgia 30188 at 10:00 a.m., March 28, 2019. 

RFP selection criteria will consist of the following:

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or any or parts of a proposal wherein its judgment, it will be in the best interest of the City; waive any technicalities/informalities in the RFP document and proposal process; and to qualify and award any or all of this contract in any manner in which the City, acting in the sole and exclusive exercise of its discretion, deems to be in the City’s best interest. If no acceptable proposal is received, the City also reserves the right to re-solicit proposals, at its sole discretion.
