Type of Addition: Addendum - Public Opening

Overview: The next step in the process will be today at 2:00 pm.  The superintendent or designee will publicly open the submissions from the CMARs in person at 9350 Sappington Rd. St. Louis, MO 63126.

Question: Do you have a construction estimate range/ rough order of magnitude you're willing to share? Also, can you share when you anticipate the GC mobilizing to the site and starting construction? I understand the design is not finished. Would like to know for resource planning as well as understanding if the size of this project aligns with our value proposition and if we're the right construction partner.

Response: Do you have a construction estimate range/ rough order of magnitude you're willing to share? In excess of $3,000,000.00 qualifying it as a CMAR project for us per board policy and state requirement. Can you share when you anticipate the GC mobilizing to the site and starting construction? Mobilization would be dependent on approval of the contract with CMAR. Collaboration of the district's Architect with the CMAR would be anticipated to take a little time. A winter 2024/spring 2025 start is anticipated. We are wanting to mobilize the project before summer of 2025. The current project scope is expected to include repurposing of the old pool, pump room, and any other associated equipment into a performing arts/multi purpose room. This area is currently not air conditioned so it would need to be added. There are a few areas of the building that currently do not have air conditioning and that will need to be addressed as well. We are looking to create collaboration spaces in the building where we can. This may include adjoining classrooms, removing a wall to a hallway, etc. The life safety systems(intercom, cameras, door access, fire alarm) will be upgraded/replaced. The building will be getting sprinklers, there are minimal areas covered currently. We will be including site circulation improvements which would include AHJ triggers that will need to be met. Outdoor lighting addition, indoor lighting, ceiling tile replacement throughout the building. Additional outlets in learning spaces/collaboration spaces. Cabinets and casework replacement, plumbing fixture replacement, restroom remodel. Also painting, exterior door replacement and possibly interior door replacement as needed.
