Description: The Lee College District (“Lee College” or the “College”) is requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals for the Student Center Renovation & Addition project. The Proposer shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment when performing all work.
All proposals must be uploaded to Vendor Registry by Tuesday, May 3, 2022, 10:00 AM. An optional pre-proposal meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20 at 200 Lee Dr., Baytown Texas, 77520 Suite 216. The deadline for questions is Friday, April 22 at 5:00 PM. Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted via Vendor Registry.
For questions related to using Vendor Registry, use the help option/chat for assistance on their website. If you need further assistance, please contact lcsolicitations@lee.edu . Emailed and faxed proposals will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Vendors will receive confirmation from Vendor Registry when their proposal is successfully received. In addition to your submittal on Vendor Registry, one (1) electronic version (flash drive/ USB) and two (2) sealed proposals, with pricing, shall be delivered to: P.O. BOX 818 Baytown, Texas 77520-0818. Hand deliver proposals to the Purchasing Department located at 200 Lee Dr., Suite RH 209, Baytown, Texas 77520. Mondays-Thursdays 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Friday 7:30 am – 12:00pm.
The project consists of remodeling the Lee College's Student Center. In addition, the remodel includes working with, but not limited to; demolition, hazardous material abatement, concrete, masonry, metals electrical, communications / information technology, roofing, fire protection, carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, thermal and moisture protections. This project also includes all incidentals required for the completion of the project.
Upon recommendation of the proposal(s), the College Board of Regents plans to award a Contract; however, the College reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all irregularities and technicalities, and to accept any proposal(s) which it deems beneficial to it. Each proposer agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection, with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid.

On A101A there are 3 stairs shown – 2 on the Left & Right of the Open Space above going to the Enterprise Gallery #210, and one in the ‘back’ Stair 222. a. Are these stairs to have only WALL MOUNTED HANDRAILS, or do they have CABLE STYLE GUARDRAILS WITH HANDRAILS? 2. On A102 and details on A806, there is confusion as to what type of guardrail is desired. a. A806 calls out for GLASS type Guardrails b. A102 and A101A call out for “CABLE RAILS” Please clarify the design intent so that we may properly bid the job.
Response: The stairs to the left and the right of the Enterprise Gallery and Lobby will have wall mounted handrails. The back stair 222 will have cable style guardrails will handrails. The guardrail shown on A102 is the Mirage with Glass as shown in details A806 and specification section 05 73 00.
