 Meriwether County, Georgia is accepting sealed bids for the Parking Lot Project- Greenville,  A copy of the Bid Package is enclosed and additional copies may be obtained at the Meriwether County Board of Commissioners’ Office at 17234 Roosevelt Highway Building B, Greenville, GA 30222 or by contacting the County Administrator at t.gay@meriwethercountyga.gov.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 12:00 noon on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at the Meriwether County Board of Commissioner’s Office at 17234 Roosevelt Highway, Building B, Greenville, GA 30222 during normal business hours.  Upon expiration of time for receipt of bids, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.  No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after bid opening date.  All bids shall be submitted sealed and clearly marked on exterior of package as follows:

The attached Bid Package addresses the project descriptions, specifications, bonding requirement, and timelines for completion.

 Please note that a mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the project site located behind the Meriwether County Tax Building located at 124 N. Court Square Greenville, GA  30222

Any additional questions or clarifications may be addressed to the County Administrator, Theron Gay, at t.gay@meriwethercountyga.gov on or before 5:00 p.m. August 16th, 2019.  Answers to all questions and clarifications will be forwarded via email to all contractors who have requested or who have received the bid package.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount no less than five (5%) of the total base bid.  Additional bonding requirements are outlined in the bid documents.

GENERAL NOTES AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION

•  Grade, Drain, Base, and Paving

• Relocation of existing water meter and water service line to Tax Assessor’s Building. Sleeved under asphalt and base. 18-inch depth minimum.

• Permanent Grassing

• Erosion Control

• Parking Lot Striping:
  4” solid white
  4” solid white diagonal 3ft center to center
  24” solid white stop bars (2)
  sold white directional arrows

• Paving Specifications:
  Stabilized sub-grade compacted to 95% standard
  6” graded aggregate base compacted
  2” 9.5mm Type II Topping

• Proof Roll
  Proof Roll required of sub-grade before G.A.B. is placed
  Proof Roll of G.A.B. before topping application

• Asphalt, and/or asphalt removed within the scope of work necessary for the completion of this project.

• Bid shall include a list of equipment available for use on this project
