Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR RE-BID OWNER NAME: Camden County MAILING ADDRESS: Post Office Box 190 PHYSICAL ADDRESS: 330 East Highway 158 CITY AND STATE: Camden, North Carolina 27921 Sealed bids for the COURTHOUSE AREA WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT – CAMDEN COUNTY will be received by Eastern Carolina Engineering, PC until 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at their office, 154 East US Highway 158, Camden, North Carolina and then publicly opened and read in the conference room. The scope of work for this project will include the construction of a wastewater treatment plant designed to process 50,000 gallons per day including associated access road, water, sewer and storm drainage utilities, and construction of the plant operations building located off of Shortcut Road (Hwy 158 East) in Camden County, North Carolina. Sealed bids may also be mailed to County Manager, Camden County, P. O. Box 190, Camden, North Carolina, 27921 and will be picked up until last mail check at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. It is the bidder’s responsibility; however, to make sure that the bid is received at the bid opening location. All bidders must meet the following minimum licensing requirements: North Carolina General Contractor as licensed under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes with a license limitation of Unlimited and a classification of Public Utilities Contractor or a Specialty Contractor with a designation of PU (Water Purification and Sewage Disposal). The Contract Documents, Contract Drawings and Specifications (AS WELL AS ADDENDUMS) may be reviewed at the following locations: 1. Eastern Carolina Engineering , PC, 154 US Hwy. 158 E, Camden, NC 2. Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in North Carolina, payable to Camden County in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in G.S. 143-129 as amended by Chapter 1104 of the Public Laws of 1951. There will not be a pre-bid conference for this bid. Small Business Entities, Women Owned Businesses and Minority Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration is providing partial funding for this project (EDA Investment No. 04-01-07127). The contractor will be required to meet provisions of the federal construction contract as identified in the bidding documents.
