Description:

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 10.0 – Pump Station No. 19 Improvements will be received, by the City of Laurinburg, at City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 221, Laurinburg, North Carolina until 2:00 pm local time on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The project consists of new screening equipment and structure, diversion box structure, manholes, 24-inch sewer line, site work and electrical work. 

Because of restrictions for group gatherings in response to COVID‐19, the City of Laurinburg offices will be closed to the public at the scheduled bid opening time. Bids shall be mailed in accordance with the Instructions for Bidders or dropped off at the drive up window located at 303 W. Church Street. The Bid Opening will be live-streamed on the City’s Facebook page, City of Laurinburg Government, with a link to this page on its website, www.laurinburg.org.  Look for the link at the top of the website page that says “Public Bid Opening (Live Stream).”

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Willis Engineers, 10700 Sikes Place, Suite 115, Charlotte, NC 28277, 704.377.9844.  Prospective Bidders may obtain an electronic PDF of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office by emailing info@willisengineers.com.  No fee will be required for the electronic Bidding Documents.  

Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office in order to be considered an official plan holder.  The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.  The City of Laurinburg is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites the submission of proposals from minority and women-owned companies.  The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals.
