Description:
The City of Canton Water Department, also referred to as the Water Department, is requesting bids from qualified and interested parties to assess and exercise water valves within their distribution system. The Water Department desires to enter into a one (1) year contract, with the option of three, one year renewals at the sole discretion of the City of Canton for a water valve assessment and exercising program which serves three primary purposes:
Evaluate and improve the operability of water valves in the distribution system through hands on field activities.
Listen to the valve to determine areas of potential waterline leaks.
Document, integrate and analyze locational, operational and physical information of these valves in the water distribution system.
Field work shall be substantially complete by October 30, 2019. The overall Project date of substantial completion is provided elsewhere within this document. Further, all data will be delivered to the City of Canton Water Department in a format compatible with the Water Department’s existing data schema.
