Description: Sealed bids for the construction of a new Fleet Wash Facility will be received by the City of Laurinburg at the office of the Administrative Services Director, City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 244, Laurinburg, NC, until 2:00 P.M. local time on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Room 221, 303 W. Church Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352.


The project consists of building a new Fleet Wash Facility for the City of Laurinburg, which will be built on the City’s property near the Public Works Facility on Hall Street. The site is free of trees and other structures which will not require any clearing or demolition work. The City will provide utilities to the new structure as shown on the site drawing C-1. The vehicle wash equipment will be furnished and installed by a separate specialty contractor under contract to the City of Laurinburg.
 
Bids will be received for a single prime contract with all trades. Electronic bid documents may be obtained on/after May 10, 2024 by a downloadable link on the City of Laurinburg website at https://www.laurinburg.org/business/#purchasing-rfps. Bidders must complete the vendor registration process to login and obtain copies of the bid documents and drawings.
 
A pre-bid conference for all bidders will be held at the project site on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10:00 A.M., local time. Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend. The project site is near 600 Hall Street, Laurinburg, NC. Bidders will meet at the Public Works Facility at 503 Hall Street and drive down to the site.

Bid bond/bid security of 5% shall be required with the submittal of bids. Performance and payment bonds must be furnished in accordance with NC General Statutes. Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful bidder.

Bidders shall also meet all State of NC, federal, and local requirements for MWBE (HUB) participation and include the required documents and affidavits in the submitted bids.
