Sealed bids for the Payson Avenue – South 16^th to South 20^th, Roadway, Water Main, and Sewer Improvements (MR 649) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 7^th, 2021, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MR 649 Project consists of 1384 tons of HMA pavement, 355 square yards of PCC driveway pavement, 11,889 sq ft of PCC sidewalk, 1,744 feet of PCC curb & gutter, storm/sanitary sewer, 1,291 feet of water main, and related improvements.  Total length of the project is 0.34 miles.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
