The County Commission of the Grant County, New Mexico will receive sealed bids for construction of the Grant County Airport Improvements - 2023, until 3:00 p.m. (local time) May 25, 2023, at the Grant County Manager’s Office, at which time bids will be publicly opened, read aloud and tabulated. Bids should be addressed to:

Each bidder shall be prepared to furnish the owner with satisfactory evidence of their competency to perform the work contemplated.

Each bidder will be required to submit with their bid, a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of their bid, made payable to Grant County

The County Commission agrees to carefully canvass and consider each bid submitted. In consideration thereof, no bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least 60 calendar days.

Minimum wage rates on this project shall not be less than the rates in the U.S. Department of Labor Wage Rate Decision No. NM20230036 or the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, GR-23-1087-A whichever is the higher for each trade or labor classification.

Project Description:
The project consists of the rehabilitation of the General Aviation apron by sealer/rejuvenator, crack filling, and new markings. Additionally a slot drain will be constructed under this contract. FAA grant name: Seal Apron Pavement Surface/Pavement Joints

The work requires the following licenses from New Mexico Construction Industries Division:
Runway and taxiway Construction: GF-1 – Fixed Works, Airports or GF-98 – Fixed Works, Construct, alter, or repair fixed works facilities.

These licenses will be required at the time bids are opened by any contractor bidding on this work.

The procurement code, Sections 13-1-28 through 13-1-199, NMSA 1978 (as amended), imposes civil and criminal penalties for its violation. In addition, the New Mexico Criminal Statutes impose felony penalties for illegal bribes, gratuities and kickbacks.
