Description: Sealed bids for the construction of an Industrial Access Road to the James Hardie site in Prattville will be received by the City of Prattville at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067 in the Council Chambers, until 11:00 AM on, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location No bids shall be accepted after this time.
The project will construct adding an 1100’ two-lane industrial access road extension of Sid Thompson Drive near the James Hardie Building Products site. Work will include earthwork, drainage, base, and pavement construction. The project shall be completed in 50 working days.
Plans and specifications can be viewed at the Prattville City Hall Annex 102 W. Main Street Prattville, AL 36067. The bid package may be obtained in PDF format by emailing your request to Matt Stoops at mstoops@sain.com. All bidders must be licensed by the State of Alabama Licensing Board of General Contractors, as required by Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama 1975, as amended.
Proposals will be issued only to and accepted from contractors on the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT) list of pre-qualified contractors. The award of the contract will be made only to a contractor who has a valid certification of qualification from ALDOT as required by state law and will not be made to any bidder who is considered by ALDOT to be disqualified from bidding, or is an affiliate of or has a corporate officer, director, or principal owner who is a corporate officer, director, or owner of, another person who is presently disqualified by ALDOT. All bids SHALL be submitted on bid forms furnished and be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the Bidder, Bidder’s license number, license expiration date, category, address and name of the project.
