Description:

This is the pre-qualification process for potential bidders for the Ashley River Park Construction project. It is anticipated that an Invitation for Bids will be sent in January 2020 to companies that have been deemed qualified through this RFQ process. The Ashley River Park project will include construction of a riverfront public park featuring outdoor adventure, event spaces and passive recreation opportunities. Structures will include an office building, an event pavilion, and a restroom facility. Access and parking infrastructure will be a mix of asphalt pavement and pervious aggregate material with flat concrete curb. Other site improvements include dog parks, trails, sidewalks, boardwalk, fishing pier, storm drainage, water, and sewer systems. Improvements by others include a climbing wall, ropes course, gate house, maintenance shed, picnic shelter and playground. The project area is approximately 37 acres.

Bidders shall have demonstrated experience with projects of similar size and complexity and, specifically, illustrate experience with the development of parks.
If bidders were previously qualified for this project in RFQ No. 2019-5111-4501-14, they will not be required to resubmit unless there have been major changes to their information. A list of previously-qualified companies/firms is included in the solicitation document.
