Description:

This request is for information is only to assist Darlington County in determining the interest and cost associated with the pick-up and delivery of transfer trailers from the Darlington County Landfill. The Darlington County Landfill located at 2301 Great Cypress Road, Darlington, SC 29540 and Lee County Landfill located at 3240 US-15, Bishopville, SC 29010. Darlington County Landfill currently hauls 4 to 6 loads of MSW (Household Garbage) to the Lee County Landfill per day with weight average of 17.5 tons per load.   When hauling each load, the driver hooks to the transfer trailer. Takes the load to Lee County Landfill where the driver then unloads the transfer trailer and then returns to the Darlington County Landfill.  The process is repeated.
