Question: Are you requiring a Herbicide license, and what chemical is required for stump basal applications? Will there be a CPI- (price increase each year) for this contract?
Response: The state of Texas does require a Herbicide License, so we are not requiring it to place a bid. Therefore, it has been removed from the Solicitation, and an addendum has been posted with this change. The City of Conroe may discuss a price increase upon renewal at its sole discretion.

Response: Section 3A.1/3A.2 - Please put the flat rate charge per Crew here. If you would like to be more detailed here.. you can add an attachment with those details and place a (please see added attachment for more detailed pricing). Section 4.1 - We are looking for a price range here ... the size of trees or underbrush will depend on location as needed per service.

Response: This service will be an as-needed service contract. We do not have any planned removals.

Question: Is the Contractor required to collect a new inventory as part of this contract?
Response: This is outlined in specifications No. 3. Contractors shall provide all materials, labor, trucks, and equipment necessary for tree and stump removal and maintenance. No equipment, material, or personnel shall be provided by the City of Conroe Unless agreed upon in advance in writing by the City. If new inventory were needed for a job it would be the contractors' responsibility to provide whatever is deemed necessary to complete the job but it will not be required.

Question: In most cases “saplings” are no larger than 4” DBH. Does the city know of saplings greater than 5” DBH? If a tree is multi-stemmed, how will the measurement be calculated?
Response: If there is no charge for anything lower than 4” DBH then leave blank or put no charge on what does not apply to you; however, we just want to cover all bases to include clean up beyond just the tree if needed and what those rates would be.

Response: No, because in most of these cases, it will be unplanned. If there is a need for an Arborist it may not apply to this service.

Response: Crew Technician is defined as an hourly rate for an employee in a crew for business hours and after hours. If you have different pricing per person on that crew and you would like to let us know what those are you can list those rate separate from the bid; however, this will be considered in the final cost analysis.

Response: Supervisor is defined as a "team lead" or a "crew leader." A person who would supervise the crew when needed for a service. Usually there is only one supervisor per crew ... if you need more clarification here please feel free to add a separate pricing list; however, this will be considered in the final cost analysis.
