Notice is hereby given that the City of Crestview is soliciting bids for Fencing Services for City of Crestview Facilities & Special Projects.
Bids will be accepted in the City Clerkâs Office, Crestview City Hall, 198 North Wilson Street, Crestview, Florida 32536 until 10:00 A.M. on June 18, 2024, which may be amended by addendum issued by the City. All untimely bids will not be considered and will be returned to the Bidder unopened. All bids will be evaluated to ensure they contain all required forms to deem the Bidder responsive or non-responsive. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 10:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers located in City Hall, 198 North Wilson Street, Crestview, Florida, 32536.
Pre-Bid Meeting Date: 6/4/2024 10:00 AM
Pre-Bid Meeting Details: There will be a Non-Mandatory Bidders Conference Meeting for the project at 10:00 A.M. (Central time) on June 4, 2024, at City Hall, Council Chambers, 198 North Wilson Street, Crestview, Florida 32536. All attendees of the Bidders Conference Meeting shall sign in. The representative of each Bidder shall be an authorized employee of the Bidder and shall sign in accordingly. Bidders are encouraged to attend the Non-Mandatory Bidders Conference Meeting and are urged to obtain bid documents, familiarize themselves with them, and submit questions before the meeting.

Overview: This addendum is to advise that we have received the following questions and have responded, as follows:
1. The BID form requires submission of a letter and says to have it approved by the city first. Is there a form for this?
There is no specific form provided for this purpose. However, a formal letter requesting approval to use subcontractors should be prepared on your company letterhead. This letter should reference ITB #24-06-18-OM and be addressed to the City of Crestview. It should clearly outline your request and any pertinent details about the subcontractors to ensure a thorough review and approval process by the city officials.
2. Also, are there any specific job scopes of properties needing work currently? I see the LF requirements, just curious about the expected scope of projected work needed. As our firm may be interested in the opportunity, please help us better understand the possible scope of Special Projects expected by the City.
The special projects expected by the city include a variety of fencing services for city facilities and special projects as needed. This covers routine and emergency fencing needs for all city facilities, lift stations, water wells, retention ponds, and miscellaneous locations as deemed necessary by the City of Crestview. Additionally, there may be specialty fencing services required that fall outside the typical scope of work, subject to prior approval by the designated city department.
