Pre-Bid conference will be held on March 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., in the Finance Conference Room located at 106 Industrial Village Road, Building 2, Beaufort, SC 29906. Bidders areresponsible for their own transportation. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Overview: It is the intent of Beaufort County to solicit competitive sealed proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide construction services for the roadway improvements at Fort Freemont Preserve. The selected firm must provide all services in full compliance with all applicable local, State, and Federal laws and regulations. Provide a lump sum price proposal for the work to include but not limited to the following: 1. All work as shown on construction plans as prepared by Cranston Engineering. a. Exhibit 2 – Construction Plan List 2. Material testing and inspections to include the following: a. Subgrade proof roll & density testing b. Aggregate base proof roll & density testing c. Asphalt compaction testing d. Concrete compressive strength e. All reports to be sent to Beaufort County within 24 hours of test results. 3. Provide submittals and shop drawings for review for all materials and equipment prior to incorporation into the project. 4. As-built survey to be performed by Contractor 5. SWPPP inspections to be performed by Contractor

Question: Can you provide a copy of the Landscape plans. Please provide a split rail wooden fence detail. Please provide Security fence detail. Please provide a detail for tree save area(orange mesh or chain line fence) Is there a traffic control plan for Lands End and Bay Point Rd? Is the park going to be closed to the public during construction and if so what kind public notification needs to be done Is there a soils report for the project? Can you provide bid quantities?
