The goal of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office Safe Schools Initiative is to ensure that every school in Calhoun County has the opportunity and technology to open a video portal connecting directly with the Calhoun County Central Dispatch Authority to ensure dispatchers have the accessibility to view cameras on any district campus in the event of an emergency including, but not limited to, active shooter, fire of threat.

Calhoun County Sheriff's Office (Owner) is seeking bids for video monitoring equipment and installation services.  Proposed systems shall be configured and installed to service Owner's needs across multiple instructional facilities, and as described herein the RFB.

Question: What type of licenses are required for the Exacqvision systems - Professional or Enterprise?

Response: Enterprise.

Question: In Appendix D - Licensing and Server Device Schedule, there are 2 schools that seem to have a conflict in the type of systems they have. Both Calhoun Community High School and Marshall Academy are shown as needing Digital Watchdog licenses and adding an Avigilon NVR. Is that correct?

Response: See addendum #1 with revised Appendix D.

Question: There was mention that March 1 might have flexibility, if we committed to have the Motorola edge devices installed by then, but new install would take longer, how much flexibility is there? Start of school 25/Mid August?

Response: Ideally, all work would be completed by the provided dates. If all, or a portion of the project cannot be completed within the provided timeframe. Contractors are encouraged to provide details pertaining to this in the Exceptions section of their bid response.

Question: If selected, when is the earliest we could have our engineers get the Motorola EDGE device to start configuration?

Response: It is unknown when the devices will arrive. Engineers from the selected Contractor will have the devices as soon as they are received from Motorola.

Question: Lakeview Community Schools are listed in Appendix D Licensing details, but it appears there is no work in any of these schools (no devices or licenses are listed). There is no detail in appendix E existing owner documentation for any Lakeview schools. Is there any work in the 6 schools in Lakeview Schools?

Response: Yes, see section 00 21 13 - 39 - 3.15 of the provided specifications. Bidders must adhere to the Davis-Bacon Wage Act.

Response: For bidding purposes, Contractors should provide pricing for Avigilon ACC8 and Exacqvision Enterprise.

Question: Will you please indicate all new camera locations on the prints provided? We only see 3 sets of prints that clearly define where the new cameras will be installed. Most of the prints only show the existing camera locations. There are a few prints that do not have school names on them. I do not see prints for Homer or the Athens Schools.

Response: See Appendix B - New Camera Location Diagrams for all new camera locations including Homer and Athens Schools. See Appendix C - New Camera Schedule for the new camera school district and building locations.
