Description:

Sealed bids for furnishing the labor and materials as specified, for the restoration of the Delivery #2 230 - 24.94 / 14.4 kV substation will be received on behalf of the City of Laurinburg, North Carolina at the office of Progressive Engineering Consultants, Inc. located at 4700-D1 Lebanon Road, Charlotte, NC  28227 at or before 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read.

Proposals shall be addressed to the Progressive Engineering Consultants, Inc., PO Box 690638, Charlotte, NC  28227 Attn: Michael Dawson.  (Via courier i.e., Fedex, UPS – send to – 4700-D1 Lebanon Road, Charlotte, NC  28227 Attention: Michael Dawson).

The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:

A certified check or cashiers’ check payable to the City of Laurinburg, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.  Bid proposals may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the date of receipt of bids.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish separate, one hundred percent (100%), Performance Bond and Payment Bond on the forms included as a part of the Contract Documents.

The bid deposit shall be retained by The City of Laurinburg if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or fails to provide the required bonds as stated above, within ten (10) days after award of the contract.

The City of Laurinburg reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals and to accept any proposal which is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Laurinburg, North Carolina.  The City of Laurinburg invites and encourages participation in this bidding process by minority business enterprises.
