Question 2
Posted: 10/11/2021
Question: 1) During the Site Visit we discussed the following inquiries: Attached are the list of official questions for the clarifications a. Are the Work Hours at Rancho Santa Fe site subject to Home Owner Association (HOA) or special work hour considerations? b. Are the Work Hours at the Mountain View Park site subject to special work hour considerations? c. Is there a Lead, and or Asbestos assessment for the tank at Mountain View prior to pricing the work after the Selection Process? i. If not, perhaps you want to revisit the schedule and NTP date of the Mountain View Work 2) At the Rancho Santa Fe Tank Site a. The description of the floor repair indicates the interior floor of the tank will be raised. b. If this is true, then the existing nozzles on the Ground Storage Tank (GST) may have to be raised? c. That being said, would the lessened capacity (volume) require the overflow wier or freeboard of the existing tank need to be modified? d. All of this would be considered in the tentative schedule required by this RFQ. 3) At the Rancho Sante Fe Tank Site, it appears that Schuff Steel welded that tank in the 1996-1997 time frame. a. The visual exterior welds on the GST are subject to a NACE inspector to require rework. The same could be said for the interior welds, that were not visible on the site visit. Should the CMAR consider this in the Schedule and anticipate this rework needs to meet the NACE inspection which is under the City’s consultant per the discussions in the field. This rewelding would need to be a schedule and cost consideration by Avondale, and as a submitter, we want to know if this should be included in our time lines?
Response: Questions will be answered in the form of an addendum.
