Description: Dorchester County is seeking proposals from qualified healthcare and wellness Providers or Operators to invest in the construction, operation, management, and administration of an urgent care medical facility in the St. George area of the County under a Public/Private Partnership (P3) investment opportunity. This partnership will involve the adaptive reuse of a County-owned 8,200 square foot, one-story building of masonry construction, located at 100 Sears Street, St. George, SC 29477. This building was constructed in 2001 and was formerly used as a women’s detention center through late 2016. The County will commit funding for the adaptive reuse of the building and site, in exchange for the Proposer investing in the necessary capital for apparatus and FF&E, and personnel to operate, manage and administer the facility via a long-term lease arrangement with several renewal options and opportunities for expansion of services based on community needs within the service areas.
