Sealed bids for the SEWER AND WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT - OAK STREET,

NORTH 5th to NORTH 8th (MU 007) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 730 Maine Street, Suite # 129, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 2nd, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The City of Quincy’s MU 007 Project consists of approximately 1700 feet of water main replacement, 1360 feet of sanitary sewer replacement, 260 feet of storm sewers, 8 manholes, 10 inlets, 10,130 sq ft of PCC sidewalk, 1,685 sq yds of PCC pavement, 286 sq yds of PCC driveway pavement, 540 ft of curb & gutter, patching, seeding, and related improvements.  Total length of the project is 0.27 miles.

All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the “Proposal Bid” form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier’s check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications.

The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
