Deadline: 8/12/2022 11:00 AM (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Status: Awarded
Solicitation Number: 23-DES-ITBPW-231
Description: This project is the second phase of a two-phase demolition of the Virginia Hospital Center. The VHC hospital complex is located at 601 S Carlin Springs Road and consists of a two-story, 163,000 sf building. Under the Phase one project, previously completed, the VHC building was detached from the adjacent 5 story medical office building located at 611 S Carlin Springs Road. This left the needed fire separation between the two buildings so the demolition of the VHC to occur. The Phase two scope of work includes the demolition of the VHC structure, including foundations, backfilling of the excavation, and site restoration. The VHC building contains asbestos and other hazardous materials, see Hazmat Report included, and the removal and proper disposal of said equipment and materials is included in this scope of work.
