Overview: Due to the greater than anticipated number of responses and to ensure we have time for appropriate and thorough review of each submittal; we will be extending the decision of vendor selection on the RFP schedule to 6/18/2018.

Question 1

Posted: 4/16/2018

Question: Is this request for cloud only, or is the district open to a hybrid solution with redundant and resilient on-site call processing at critical locations? If the hybrid solution is in play, would the District prefer PRI’s at the redundant locations, or SIP trunking?

Response: We are open to all proposals, if you would recommend differently configured proposals, please include the configuration and costs associated.

Question 2

Posted: 4/16/2018

Question: What are the current PSTN connections to each location Would they need PSTN connections on each location? They mentioned SIP. Do they need a SIP or PSTN connection at each location so that in the event of a link failure to the main processor, calls could still push thru?

Response: We have POTS or IPFlex at each location. We then also have redundant internet connections at each location.

Question 3

Posted: 4/17/2018

Question: Under the Unified Communications and Collaboration, the RFP asks if the solution is capable of integrating at any level with Microsoft Skype. Does FVPD currently have Microsoft Skype for Business or Microsoft 0365?

Response: We use Office 365.
