The City of Kingman will accept sealed bids from qualified firms at the office of the City Clerk at 310 N. Fourth St., Kingman, AZ 86401, labeled “RFB-Facilities Remodel Projects” until 2:00 PM Local Time on Monday, January 6th, 2025. Bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened.
Project Description:
The KFD STATION 21 REMODEL is located at 301 N. 5th St. within the City of Kingman. The project will consist of a 292 Sq.Ft. addition and 1,814 Sq.Ft. interior remodel of the existing fire station #21. The interior remodel consists of relocating the living room and kitchen to another area, creating additional bedrooms, and remodeling the restrooms, laundry room, storage room, and gym. The addition will mainly consist of a turnout gear room and a small addition to the gym. electrical and plumbing scope will include the remodeled power, water, sewer, and fixtures. Exceptions may be made with adequate notice.
The KFD STATION 23 ADDITION is located at 4000 N. Sierra Road within the City of Kingman.
The project will consist of a 961 SQ.FT. addition on the north side of the existing Kingman Fire Station #23. The living area, kitchen, and bedrooms will be updated with paint, cabinets, flooring, and fixtures. Bathroom showers are to be replaced with new 4 x 8 tile showers.
The KFD STATION 24 REMODEL is located at 302 Eastern Street in the City of Kingman. The project is a full remodel that will involve reworking the kitchen and living room and modifying areas to create an office, a working area, and a turnout gear room at the existing Kingman Fire Station #24.
The POLICE DEPARTMENT BATHROOM REMODEL PROJECT is located at 2730 E. Andy
Devine Avenue within the City of Kingman. The project will consist of the partial demolition and remodel of a women’s restroom within an existing building, along with tile and fixture replacements in the men’s room. This facility operates 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Contractors may have to adjust work schedules around facility operations.
The PUBLIC WORKS REMODEL is located at 3700 E. Andy Devine within the City of Kingman. The project includes converting an existing space into a women's restroom and remodeling the existing men's rooms. Additional work in the conference and break areas is also included.
The City will conduct a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site walkthrough on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, beginning at 11 AM Local Time. Interested bidders are encouraged to attend. The pre-bid meeting will be held in the council chambers at 310 N. 4th St, Kingman, AZ. Site walkthroughs of each location will be completed following the pre-bid meeting.
The construction plans and specifications may be downloaded from the City’s website. Please notify sshilstone@cityofkingman.gov when plans have been downloaded to be placed on the plan Plan Holders List. This will allow the City to maintain an accurate Plan Holder’s List of addendums that need to be sent to all bidders.

A bid security in the form of an unconditional certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, payable to the City of Kingman, shall accompany each proposal. All bids must be sumitted on the bid sheet included in the request for bid.
Your offer must be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for Sixty (60) days after submission.
The successful bidder must execute the Standard Form of Contract for Construction within ten (10) calendar days after the formal Award of the Contract.
Immediately after executing the Contract, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, a Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, and Certificates of Insurance.
The right is hereby reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereto, to waive any informality in any proposal, and to reject the bids of any persons who have been delinquent or unfaithful to any contract with the City of Kingman.
Approval of a detailed master schedule for all projects and individual project schedules will be required prior to issuance of a notice to proceed.
