Question 1
Posted: 10/10/2023
Question: Per our discussion during the pre proposal meeting yesterday, I suspect that given the estimated cost of the project is $86.8 Million (and the bid may even come in higher), that a Class one and a Class 2 Assistant will be required by DSA to cover this project. I think it would help level the playing field in regards to the cost proposal, to try to get clarification from DSA on how many DSA inspectors they will require and at what certification levels, for this project.
Response: A: For proposal submission, assume a full time (100%) Class 1 IOR and a part time (50%) Class 2 IOR are to be required by DSA for this Project. Should DSA requirements change, the fee of the Proposal will be adjusted accordingly.
Question 2
Posted: 10/16/2023
Question: On the Pre-proposal conference on October 9, 2023, the CM staff made a comment that the Project Architect is recommending another Inspector of Record outside the District approved pool for this project. Please confirm that the District is NOT accepting proposal from any non-approved IOR firm outside the current Board approved pool.
Response: We have already responded to this question. Please see the public solicitation, particularly Addendum One posted here.
Question 3
Posted: 10/17/2023
Question: On Sample Proposal Worksheet, the schedule show the phases to be out of sequence. PREP: Start 12/2022 & End 3/2023 (Past dates), CONST: Start 3/2023 & End 12/2024 (Past start date) CLOSEOUT: Start 1/2025 & End 4/2025 Please, clarify and advise. Thanks.
Response: This question will be responded to via Addendum Two.
Question 4
Posted: 10/19/2023
Question: The RFP states under the "IV. Project Description" section on page 6, that the construction schedule, including demolition and closeout, is expected to be approximately 27 months, however during the Pre-bid meeting, it was mentioned that it would be 24 months, could you please provide some clarification, on which is more accurate?
Response: Construction duration, including site demolition, is anticipated to be 24 months. We anticipate a 3 month close out process. Total during is 27 months.
Question 5
Posted: 10/19/2023
Question: To provide a more accurate proposal, would it be possible for the district to provide an estimated/current construction schedule for the project?
Response: No detailed construction schedule is available at this time. Construction duration, including site demolition, is anticipated to be 24 months. We anticipate a 3 month close out process. Total duration is 27 months.
