Description:
Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 9.0 – Pump Station Renovations (PS 8, 12, 13) will be received, by the City of Laurinburg, at City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 242, Laurinburg, North Carolina until 2:00 pm local time on, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The project consists of the complete renovation of three pumping stations, including the addition of new pumps, piping, a fiberglass wet well enclosure, electrical equipment and site improvements.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum or unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Willis Engineers, 10700 Sikes Place, Suite 115, Charlotte, NC 28277, 704.377.9844. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00–5:00, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at City Hall on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00-5:00.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office in order to be considered an official plan holder. Bidding Documents may be obtained during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $100.00 for each set. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 am local time on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Laurinburg Water Treatment Plant, 603 Lauchwood Drive. Laurinburg, North Carolina. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Laurinburg is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites the submission of proposals from minority and women-owned companies. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals.
