Description:

• Pursuant to the Notice to Contractors Calling for Bids (attached), each bidder’s bid security must be the original of one of the following forms of bidder’s security and must be mailed or sent by express carrier so it is received before the bid deadline April 21, 2020; 2:00PM by the District in the Purchasing Office at 2335 Plaza Del Amo Torrance, CA 90501 : (1) a cashier’s check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bidder’s bond executed by a California admitted surety. Failure of bidder to provide the District with an original form of bid security before the due date and time will render the bid nonresponsive and the bid will be rejected. The District is not responsible for bid security that is lost, misdirected or otherwise fails to reach the designated location before the specified date and time.  
  

• Torrance Unified School District is requesting sealed bids from B-General AND C36-Plumbing licensed contractors to replace utility gas piping servicing buildings A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, L, M and N at North High School.  Bids shall be all-inclusive, including all materials travel, reproduction, administrative, sub-consultants, sub-contracting, and any and all other overhead costs.

• A mandatory job walk will be conducted on Tuesday, 04/07/20 at 9:00 am.  Bidders are to meet in front of the auditorium on Yukon at North High School, 3620 W. 182nd Street, Torrance, CA 90504.  See attached campus map for job walk meeting area. 

• Anticipated construction start date: 06/15/20
