Description: The District is requesting Bid Submittals from firms licensed in the state of Florida to provide habitat restoration work and seeding. The overall goal of this project is to improve the habitat value for wetland buffers and improve the suite of groundcover vegetation as a component of a sandhill pine restoration area. The groundcover seeding effort will be conducted in a not to exceed 25-acre area that was selected with the assistance of our land management staff who have selectively timbered to approximate 60-80 stems per acre and have recently burned the area.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details: NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for October 30, 2024, at 10:30 PM, at the Orange Creek Restoration Area, 24281 SE 219 Avenue, Hawthorne, Florida 32640. Longitude 29°25’48.0”N Latitude 82°03'47.0"W The purpose of the pre-bid conference is to allow potential bidders an opportunity to review the project area and to present questions to staff and obtain clarification on the requirements of the bid documents. For mandatory pre-bid conferences, the District will only accept bids from those firms attending the pre-bid conference.
